I know I just wrote about Nicholas Ray's last film too, but I've watched this twice in one week in preparation for a new podcast about Westerns and I couldn't help but make this the next entry.
Final film from one of my favorite directors is as unhinged as it gets. It is not a film, in the ordinary sense of the word. More like lives flashing before your eyes, including the director's own.
This is the film. It is my favorite of all time. Thank you David Lynch for making it.
Time to get back to writing about film and music regularly here in 2025. There are reasons why this song hits home now more than ever especially after election day.
