#10: Brief Encounter (1945) (dir. David Lean) Some love isn't meant to last and that can be both tragic and beautiful.
#9: Take This Waltz (2012) (dir. Sarah Polley) Technically this is a re-edit via Letterboxd, but since this movie came up in the generator and most of my feelings are the same... Sarah Polley's Take This Waltz is next up. It still hits home.
#8: "Hide" - Matthew Sweet Again, lots to say about this particular songwriter who I'm glad has come up with a "hidden" gem in his vast discography. Sweet truly means a lot to me.
#6: "He's Kissing Christian" - That Dog. A band that you may not know about but absolutely should. Around the same time I was crushing hard on Veruca Salt, this song and band was another I couldn't get enough of. That Dog deserved to be huge
#5: The Sunset Limited (2010) (dir. Tommy Lee Jones) Lots to unpack with this one but again, good timing to coincide with the just-released podcast I contributed to hosted by Ryan McNeil (linked at the end). Grateful for all-things Cormac McCarthy.
