FanExpo 2024 + more!
Catching up with so much and heading out for the weekend to attend two events!
#58: "Not Dark Yet" - Bob Dylan
The encroaching darkness is something I know a lot about. Suicide attempts, near-death from a rare disease, mental health issues, etc. But I found a light through a song like this. It took a while.
#57: The Last Starfighter (1984) (dir. Nick Castle)
Greetings Starfighters, I mean subscribers! Allow me to nerd out over one of my favorite science fiction films that I saw when I was 7 years old and have seen more times than I can count.
Guest Contributor #8: Never Angeline North
Last guest contributor (Andy Fox) played The Scrambler in DeKalb, IL. Today's guest also did too, as the band Tinyfolk! Never is a truly incredible writer and friend. So grateful for these words!
Let's Get Physical Media: The Lee Gambin Memorial Column (July 2024)
Reviews of the following titles released on Blu-Ray courtesy of MVD and Allied Vaughn: The Man From U.N.C.L.E (Arrow!), Allied, Swingers, and Red Line 7000!
New Movie Reviews (07.16.24)
Outside of The First Omen, I have felt completely out of touch with the acclaim of certain horror titles as of late. Here are reviews of Longlegs, Maxxxine and In a Violent Nature.
#56: "Ain't Even Done With The Night" - John Mellencamp / "Concrete Sky" - Beth Orton
Encouraging comments to confirm these songs sound eerily similar to where I was standing in a pharmacy hearing one song start, thinking it was the other!
